Unlike traditional telephone lines in the public switched telephone network (PSTN) leased lines are not switched circuits. It’s a dedicated fibre connection that runs from your business to the core network.

How is it better than fibre broadband?
If you are using fibre broadband today, you’d be forgiven for believing that your connectivity is as good as it can be. However, fibre broadband can just mean that the first part of your connection uses fibre and the rest (from the street cabinet to your premises) is, in fact, copper. Full fibre, however, means that the whole connection is built on a fibre network, making it much faster and less prone to downtime.
Full Fibre or FTTP (fibre to the premises) is a huge improvement on standard fibre broadband, yet still affected at busy times through the street cabinet ‘bottle neck’. Upload and download speeds are greatly improved, but not able to adjust to your requirements.
