What is SoGEA?
Single order Generic Ethernet Access
SoGEA is a data-only service that does not include a traditional phone line or dial tone. SoGEA stands for Single order Generic Ethernet Access.
Everywhere that fibre broadband is available, either Fibre to the Cabinet (FTTC) or Fibre to the Premises (FTTP), SoGEA is also available. You get a better, more reliable broadband service, and no separate bill for line rental.
Full Fibre Broadband - FTTP (Fibre To The Premises)
Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) is end-to-end fibre optic connection. The greatest advantage of an FTTP connection is that the speed is not affected by distance. Since the connection is still from the telephone exchange to a street cabinet though a shared connection, the bandwidth can be affected at peak times by other users on the network.
Speed up to 500Mbps (FTTP may be subject to a one-off connection fee)
